During its panel, Funimation premiered a trailer for. The note also indicates that '[ Dragon Ball Super: Broly] involves the Frieza Force and the history of the Saiyans, which end up having a major connection to everything. The story content turns out to be very large-scale and dramatic.' Dragon Ball Super: Broly is coming to North American theaters in January 2019, a month after the Japanese release. It picks up after the Dragon Ball Super anime series, which began in 2015 and recently ended (though the English dub is still going).
