Power Media Player Update

Posted on by  admin

I have a new laptop with Windows 10-64. It came with Cyberlink Power Media Player 14 as (I assume) the newest way to display pictures, dvds, etc. I have a DVD of old movies that I had made which was also made so that it could be copied.

I put the new DVD in after running the 'movie dvd' and then told the computer to BURN a new copy. I inserted a DVD+R which it formatted and then sounded like it copied the movie onto it.

Power Media Player (formerly PowerDVD Mobile) makes enjoying media on your Android phone or tablet a truly extraordinary experience. CyberLink’s award-winning multimedia technology is now available in this powerful, mobile media player so you can watch movies, view photos, and listen to music with the confidence that your entertainment is.

When the disc drive stopped running, I ejected it and then brought up Cyberlink Power Media Player 14 to run the new disc to see if the movie copied correctly. It started to run and then a message popped up on its screen which said that the disc in question was not an acceptable type of disc.

Some further research in Cyberlink listed various types of discs that were acceptable. It said that DVD-VR and DVD+VR were acceptable discs.

Those types of discs don't seem to be on sale anywhere and Best Buy Geek Squad has no clue as to why my new copied disc on DVD-R won't run either. Any ideas or what I do next? Note: The' categories' and 'product' below are not correct but I had to chose something and these were the closest to my problem.

Power Media Player Update

I have been in Florida for the past 3 weeks and have not had a chance to try anything that was suggested. I did go to the link you provided and got an email response on all sorts of things to send them (Cyberlink Tech Support). This seems to be very involved and have not had the chance to do all of what they want me to send them. I was able to do 1 thing before I left.
